With the option of two 51.1W lithium-ion batteries, the RTC-1020 contains 1.5 times the capacity of its predecessor. Further, its hot-swappable feature allows for battery replacement without the need to power down.

For ergonomic use in working environments such as construction sites, the RTC-1020 is equipped with six physical keys. To suit specific project needs, such as inventory checking, three of these keys are user-configurable.

For a rugged tablet to be truly adaptable to any outdoor environment, screen brightness is paramount. Therefore, the RTC-1020 is equipped with a clear, 800 nit TFT LCD screen to prevent glare and ensuring sunlight readability.

The RTC-1020’s 5MP front camera is a substantial upgrade on the RTC-1010’s 2MP standard, while still accompanied by an 8MP rear camera. This increase in quality allows for UHD image collection for applications such as field inspection.

As the RTC-1020 is RED certified, it can be purchased with an LTE module pre-installed, reducing lead time and delivering a wireless-ready solution for immediate connectivity in the field.

By adding Wi-Fi 2 and 5 to the device’s Wi-Fi 802.11 wireless standards, the RTC-1020 substantially expands the Wi-Fi speed and bandwidth available to users to Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, compared to previous tablets which were limited to Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n.

Doubling the system memory capacity of the RTC-1010, 8GB of onboard LPDDR4X system memory facilitates expedited data transmission rates for peripheral devices connected to the RTC-1020 via its LAN, USB 3.2, and display interfaces.
